Why do you need a GN2 System from Great Lakes Air?

Great Lakes Air is quickly approaching it's third decade of satisfied customers with PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) systems as well as filtration packages and compressed air dryers. The GN2 Nitrogen generator is a PSA (pressure swing adsorption) system that is designed to supply a continuous source of nitrogen at a consistent grade and purity. The system is automatic and requires minimal maintenance. The adsorption component CMS (carbon molecular sieve) has a service life in excess of 10 years with proper maintenance.

Nitrogen Purity

GN2 systems can produce nitrogen purities from 99.99% to 95%, if your application can operate at lower purities the cost of production is reduced and can add to your overall reduction in nitrogen costs.

Cost Effective

Generating your own Nitrogen is much more economical than most standard means of supply. Standard sources can cost 2.9 to 10 cents per cubic foot. Generating nitrogen with a GN2 system has much lower cost that ranges from 0.5 to 0.9 cents per cubic foot. These calculations DO NOT account for all the additional costs of standard supply such as;

  • Additional Site Liability Insurance
An average GN2 system has a ROI of 9 to 16 months increasing the financially attractive position of a GN2 above and beyond the 83% to 91% reduction in nitrogen costs.

Reliability

GN2 systems operate automatically and supply nitrogen on demand 24 hours a day. With GN2 there is no more worries of a loss of production due to a missed delivery or no delivery because it was simply not processed.

Safety

GN2 systems operate with no more liability than a standard compressed air system. With a GN2 you loose the liability of handling 2,200 PSI cylinders or storing -320°F (-196°C) liquid nitrogen. Nitrogen Purity GN2 systems can produce nitrogen purities from 99.99% to 95%, if your application can operate at lower purities the cost of production is reduced and can add to your overall reduction in nitrogen costs.
